16 big figs.
1 soup spoon butter
3 soup spoons sugar
2 star anise
1/2 glass commantaria
1 glass fresh orange juice
½ tea spoon orange zest
4 scoops vanilla ice cream
Peel the figs carefully, do not cut from flesh.
Warm the butter in shallow pan and add the figs.
Leave them for few minutes and add the commantaria.
Slow cooked, dust with sugar and add the star anise.
Add the orange juice and zest.
Remove the figs from the pan and leave the sauce to get thick.
Serve figs in large bowl with ice cream and sauce.
