On the 2nd of June 2018 we had a wonderful time celebrating for yet another year the Famous Cherry Festival at the Three Olives Village. The community council prepared an unforgettable day with cherries and traditional products, live music, food and lots of spectacular events.
The Program included:
-Sweet cherry deserts
-Culinary cherry creations made by the award-winner Chef Giorgos Kyprianou (CyChefs)
-Bazaar with various cherries and products
-Creative entertainment for children by Maria Pithara
-Haloumi preparations and sales
-Delicious food and beverages
-Live music with Lefteris Moschovia and Chryso Dimitris.
The Festival of Cheese & Figs
With the aim to promote the traditional milk cheese called chalitziou, which locals consider to be their unique product, a great event was held with huge success, at Kato Pyrgos Tillirias from August the 16th to the 17th of the same month… The Festival of Figs and Cheese!
Presentation of NutriChef to Charity Associations
Presentation of the award–winning NutriChef book has been faced beginning of January. The Authors George Kyprianou (CyChefs) and Nikoletta Ntorzi donated financial support to the Charity Associations “One dream one wish for children with cancer” and “The Anti-cancer Foundation of Arodafnousa
Cultural Heritage of Kakotopia
On January 29th, the “Katokopia Cultural Heritage Society”, the Katokopia Community Council and the “Katokopia Community Youth Council”, Invited and honored George Kyprianou (CyChefs), for the success of his publication of the book “NutriChef” which took the first place at the world Gourmand Awards as the best Cookery & Nutrition book in all over the world. George thanks all the fellow villagers for their love
Charity love Dinner
The established charity event “Love Dinner” for the children with special needs “Apostolos Pavlos” school in Liopetri has been organized for the 15th consecutive year and was held at the ZEDIPA restaurant in Avgorou village. More than 70 chefs members of Cyprus Chefs Association and Culinary students from Famagusta District participated and cooked many favor dishes for more than 1500 people
Food Safety and Storage Lecture
With great success George Kyprianou presented on March with full of success one more lecture with title food storage and safety, at the Teacher’s Association conference in Pafos District in cooperation with C.D.A College!
