1 kilo fresh black mussels
½ chopped onion
1 chopped garlic glove
4 tsp olive oil
2 tsp chopped fennel
1 coffee cup ouzo
½ glass white wine
Salt and pepper
1 spoon chopped dill for dressing
Method:
Wash and clean carefully the mussels
Heat the olive oil in casserole and lightly sauté onion, garlic and fennel
Add the mussels, ouzo and wine and cover the casserole with lid for 4-6 minutes.
When all mussels are open, season with salt and pepper, drain them and add the chopped dill
Serve in a large bowl accompanied with toast bread and a glass of wine
