Christmas kourambiedes



1 spry butter or 350 gr shortening

3 soup spoons of oil

3 egg yolks

1 cup of icing sugar

3 soup spoons of brandy

1 vanilla

½ cup browned almonds

6 cups of plain flour (00)




Beat the butter with yolks, sugar and vanilla.

Add oil and brandy

Then add flour and the roasted almonds.

Shape them round or in a rectangular shape and cut them diagonally.

Bake them in a pre-heated oven (180c).

If your dough is tight add some fresh milk.
