- 4 lettuce hearts
- One bunch of crispy lollorosso leaves
- 2 Granny Smith apples cut length wise to resemble sticks
- 2 medium tomatoes
- 3-4 fresh basil leaves – chopped
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- Some black olives – add to your liking
- 2 pieces pita bread
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 2-3 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper
Method:
- Slicetomatoesandsprinklealittlesaltoverthem. Allowthemtositinasmallstrainertoreleaseanyextraliquidstheymayhave.
- Inabowl, mixtogethertheoliveoil, thebalsamicvinegar, thewhitevinegarandthebasilleavesandthenaddthetomatoes.
- Refrigeratethismixtureandallowit to marinatefor1-2 hours.
- In the meantime, mix together the lettuce with a little olive oil, salt and pepper and plate.
- On top of the lettuce add apple sticks, sesame seeds and sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Add the marinated tomatoes and olives on the side of the salad plate.
- Heat pita bread and serve with the salad.
