Nordic Chef of the Year

The Nordic Chefs Association Conference was held in Bergen-Norway from 2-5 June 2011. Beside this bi-annual event the Nordic Chef’s of the Year Competition took place as well as the Wild Card Competition.

It was a great honor for Cyprus that the President of the Jury was Mr. Yiannakis A. Agapiou, President of the Cyprus Chefs Association.

The hospitality as well as the organization of the whole event was second to none.

The winner of the competition Nordic Chef of the Year 2011 is Martin Sveian from Norway and the winner of the Wild Card competition is Oyvind B. Dalelv from Norway.

During the Conference a new board of directors was elected with Uffe Nielsen from Denmark as the President and Kristine Hartviksen from Norway as the Vice President.

Annual Meeting of CCA

Another service of Administrative Council of Cyprus Chefs Association came to the end. The chairman and the members of the council invited all members to attend the assembly, which took place at the “Four Seasons” Hotel on 7th November 2009 at 12:00 a.m.

The annual general assembly existed in two parts, following the same way like last time. The first part focused on the speeches and summarizes what the committee done, what is ongoing and what plans they have. At the first part attended also government’s official and other executives. The all event was under aegis by Mr Antonis Paschalides, Cyprus Minister of Tourism and industry.

Between the first and second part existed of lunch time break, which was sponsored by “Four Seasons” hotel, “Anco” and “Trapalides”.  After the lunch all members proceed to the elections.

The new Board committee of chef’s Association is the following:

National Olympic Culinary Team Gala Dinner

We announce that the Olympic Culinary Team of Cyprus Chefs Association organizes a special Gala dinner on appreciation of all main sponsors and supporters.

The Gala dinner will take place at the “Four Seasons” Hotel on Tuesday 13th of October 2011 at 20:00 hours , and will be under the auspices of the First Lady mrs Elsi Christofia and H.E the honourable Minister of Commerce Industry and Tourism Mrs Praxoulla Antoniades.
