Ingredients:
12 sheets of phyllo pastry
1 cup walnuts (crushed)
1 Tbl spoon sugar
A pinch of cinnamon and clove powder
1 Tbl spoon rosewater
Melted butter for the pastry sheets
4 scoops of vanilla ice cream
Espresso coffee syrup
1 cup of water
1 cup of sugar
Zest of 1 orange and 1 lemon
1 stick of cinnamon
1-2 cloves
1 double espresso coffee
Mix the walnuts, sugar, cinnamon, clove and rosewater well
Brush 3 sheets of phyllo pastry with melted butter and place on top of each other.
Spread enough mixture over the pastry to cover, and then roll into a cigar like shape.
Place in a deep baking tray and sprinkle water over the cigars and place in a medium heat oven.
For the syrup place all ingredients in a pot over a low heat and slowly bring to the boil, allow to boil for a few minutes to infuse all the flavors and create a light syrup.
When the baklava is cooked remove from the oven and allow to cool, and then dip them in syrup.
Serve with Vanilla Ice Cream.
