Apple and cinnamon salad

  • 4 lettuce hearts
  • One bunch of crispy lollorosso leaves
  • 2 Granny Smith apples cut length wise to resemble sticks
  • 2 medium tomatoes
  • 3-4 fresh basil leaves - chopped
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • Some black olives – add to your liking
  • 2 pieces pita bread
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 2-3 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  •  

    Method:

    • Slicetomatoesandsprinklealittlesaltoverthem. Allowthemtositinasmallstrainertoreleaseanyextraliquidstheymayhave.
    • Inabowl, mixtogethertheoliveoil, thebalsamicvinegar, thewhitevinegarandthebasilleavesandthenaddthetomatoes.
    • Refrigeratethismixtureandallowit to marinatefor1-2 hours.
    • In the meantime, mix together the lettuce with a little olive oil, salt and pepper and plate.
    • On top of the lettuce add apple sticks, sesame seeds and sprinkle with cinnamon.
    • Add the marinated tomatoes and olives on the side of the salad plate.
    • Heat pita bread and serve with the salad.
